Put In My Place

A few years back when 15 inch LCD computer monitors were common, we were lucky enough to find a 19″ model on Boxing Day at a great (for the time) price.  One day, while feeling more smug than I should have, I remarked to my 10-year-old son, “Bet none of your friends have a monitor this big at home, do they?”

To which he matter-of-factly replied, “How come when adults brag, they brag about what they have?  When kids brag, they brag about what they can do!”

(So I took his toys and privileges away.  Just kidding!  Thanks for setting me straight, son.)
